Hi, I'm Sara, I'm in central Indiana just outside of Anderson. We had either Rhode Island Reds or Isa Browns a few years ago for my son to show in 4H. I had a pair of Ohiki last year until a dog got in and killed my Rooster

My MIL wanted Guineas because of all the ticks at her place so we decided to get back into chickens since she has the room at her place. I started with 8 Black Jersey Giants hens, and 4 Plymouth Blue Rock straight run, 2 of which turned out to be roosters. I had a Jersey Giant chick die so I went and got 3 Lavender Orpingtons and 3 Sapphire Gem chicks. I cannot control myself so I went back and got some more Sapphire Gem and what I am told are Russian Orloff chicks. I am up to I think 27-28 Chickens now. I also went back 2 weeks ago and bought 2 Narragansset Turkeys. My oldest is super excited about the Turkeys.
We also have 3 pigs and will be getting cows next year. My boys want a horse really bad but my husband hates horses soooo that won't be happening.
