Hello and greetings! I'm Souls or Joslynn, and I live near Old Town, Maine!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to raising birds, I'm currently in the process of hatching jumbo quail and am debating getting a few chickens
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I don't have any chickens atm, but I'm gonna have jumbo wilds, jumbo whites, Jumbo egyptian, and Jumbo white wing corturnix quail.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Just corturnex quail atm.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I like the self sustainability
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I build things, like hutches and the like, I hunt and fish, gardening, and like to unwind with video games in the evenings.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm a married woman with 2 wonderful sons, age 7 and 3. We have 4 indoor cats, 2 dogs, 2 goats, and a horse. We are hoping to have a working homestead going within the next few years.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found this community on a google search for more information on hutches.
