(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I'm not exactly new to chickens. We had some when I was a teenager. But, being a teenager, I didn't really pay much attention to them, so this is my first real experience with being truly responsible for them.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Seven almost full grown chickens, and 21 3 week old chicks. We started with more in the older group, but the raccoons showed us where the weak spots in our coop were.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Speckled Sussex, Dark Cornish, Buckeye, Golden Laced Wyandotte
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Internet searches while looking for chicken related stuff.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I have too many hobbies and not enough time! I like arts and crafts type things quite a lot in particular.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband and I make up the human part of this place. We also have 4 dogs, one inside cat and one outside barn cat, too many fish to count, 11 ducks, 4 geese and 2 "shared" geese that wander between our pond and a neighbor's.
