Thanks to all of you for the kind welcomes! I am enjoying BYC, and have learned so much.
Dragonfy, and NancyDz.........I live in Sonoma County, CA. Happy Valley and Dutch Flat sound familiar but I'm not sure where they are.

Can someone tell me how to reduce an image for my avatar? I want to use a photo of my coop but I get a message that it's too big.

cpchicks- Dutch Flat is in Placer county along I-80 between Auburn and Truckee.


When you open a picture on your computer does it give you an option along the top to edit the picture? That's how I resize mine.
