Just want to say hi. I'm new to raising chickens. I've already gotten lots of good info from this site. We have six chickens born March 10. Three Amaraucanas, a silver laced Wyandotte and two that we are uncertain on breed. They came out of the bin marked silver laced Wyandotte at the feed store, but they are a rust color and do not look at all like Wynona our silver Wyandotte.
My husband is almost finished building our coop, so for now the girls spend days in a covered run outside and nights in a large brooder. I'm so ready for them to move into their "own place".
I'm open to information and advice as I am new to this and have been reading a lot to be a good backyard chicken owner.
