Hello everyone!
I am originally from Southern California and now claim Oklahoma as home, so I am constantly learning about my adopted country life! I have been lurking on this informative and helpful site for quite sometime. I have had Guinea Fowl for several years now but I finally took the plunge and bought my first chickens this April. I started off with guineas to help with bugs on my property. We have horses, cattle, the annual turkey and the occasional pig (not to mention the barn cats and dogs), so there are PLENTY bugs! We enjoyed the guinea eggs so much that I finally decided to try my hand at chickens and some "real" egg production! I bought 5 red sex-linked pullets, and what was supposed to be 5 Plymouth Rock Barred Pullets. I just posted a new thread asking for identification help re them because I am not 100% certain what they are now! Currently residing with the chickens are 8 guinea fowl (3 older from last year and 5 new/younger from this spring).
