My name is Jean and I'm a 22 year old college student living in PA with my parents. I don't have any chickens yet but I'm hoping to in the near future. I'm going to school for pre-nursing but considering vet-tech as well. My parents and I love to garden and hope to some day be semi self sufficient. I already have two dogs, six cockatiels, three rats, two hamsters, and some fish.
My father is a contractor and eventually will help me to build our own coop. We will be looking for a design that can eventually be moved in the future. We currently rent so a semi-portable design is important. I can't wait to embark on my chicken journey! We will be raising hens for eggs and I would like to have a show chicken or two. I love this site and can't wait to share my own experience as well as others!
