I enjoy my orpington, wyandotte, and marans hens. My cochin just started laying brown eggs, and she is a HOOT! But I don't think she isquite as productive on egg laying as the others.

Thanks for all the replies. Sorry it took so long for me to check in - the flu hit here hard. Anyway, we are looking to start with chicks. DH is doing his planning on revamping the shed into a coop and has talked to a couple of guys about getting about 18 chicks. I am warming the kids to the work part of having chickens, haha! Thanks again!
