Hi all,
New to the site, have read a lot already. My wife and I have a little farm near French Lick, IN. We've had different breeds of chickens for years, now have 3 goats 1 is milked daily and that is all we use. She makes soap from the milk that we don't use. I'm interested in raising some Heritage breeds for meat and hoping to butcher and sell locally. I know there is a plethora of rules and regulations (Yay big government!) that we need to abide by....
Also thinking about meat rabbits. But chickens (more) chickens will come first. I bought an incubator yesterday and have a line on some Dorking eggs to hatch. Looking forward to any info.
Thanks,
Patrick

Welcome to BYC, Patrick. Glad you decided to join our flock. If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is loads of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your Dorking hatch.
