Hi everyone. My wife and I are new to chickens, getting our first 6 about 2 months ago. We are currently building their final coop/run and while it has been more work than we anticipated, we have enjoyed our “ladies” as they have grown and developed quite the personalities. We have 7 acres on a large lake/river, and almost every possible predator around us. Add in 2 dachshunds and a few outdoor cats and we are basically building a chicken compound for their protection. Thanks for welcoming us to the community and we look forward to learning from everyone’s experiences.
