Hello, I am new to chickens. Our neighbors gave us some when they moved. DH and I have done some research, bought a great book but still there are always some questions. So I joined the forum to be able to ask the experts. We were given 9: 4 roosters, 5 hens. 1 hen is very old and not producing. She is just hanging out. DH built an awesome chicken coop in just 2 weeks because neighbors were in a hurry. He is a builder by profession and it truly is very nice. We keep the chickens fed and watered and check for eggs daily. We have a beautiful healthy Anatolian Pyrenees who protects them. We also have goats and a donkey. I am also very green on goats but we've had several horses so I feel confident about the donkey.
I do have some questions and will be posting here and there. There is a lady at Tractor Supply who has to be tired of me by now with my questions.
