Woot! I have an update! I was out front, weeding my garden when the neighbor from around the corner came by and asked if I'd seen a rooster. To make a long story short, I'll be getting two Ameraucana hens from him. They're just 6 mos old, so when I get them, they'll already be acclimated to living without an external heat source. I'm so Excited! Now I have a sense of urgency - my girls are just two fences away from me right now...
