Hi everyone! This is our first try at raising chickens. We have 12 pullets that are 6-7 weeks old and they are currently residing in our basement. They are a mix of Rhode Islands, New Hampshires, Tetra Tints and Leghorns. We plan to free range them in the day and put them in the coop at night. Looking forward to getting alot of great advice!

Welcome! I'm undecided if I'm going to let my chickens free range or not. We have two outside dogs that I do not believe would cause problems but our 2 inside dogs do not handle other animals well. One inside dog can jump the fence and once he is excited about something there is no stopping him. But we will see, maybe after the dogs get use to the chickens being around they will be able to be out of the run. Best of luck to you!
