hey,
One goose sat on eggs and did well, 4 out of five. However the whole group is so proud walking them around the yard and other 2 hens been laying but not setting, Every time there are 10 eggs in the nest I scoop them and let them start over again. Been cooking w/them and a 24 egg yolk lemon chiffon cake made out of goosie eggs freezes well as well as extra yolk pasta.

Have 8 goose eggs and 4 duck eggs in the 'bator and are due next weekend. Wasn't about to pay outrageous price for goose egg racks for the turners so came up w/ my own idea, just put in 4 racks and are already slots for that purpose so they wouldn't interfere turning. Origionally planned for 3 a rack but seemed a lot of weight for the little turner motor and burnt one out last season w/turkey eggs so went w/2 and a duck egg in the middle position

Tried the dry hatch method https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/how-to-incubate-hatch-eggs-using-the-dry-incubation-method for the SL Wyandottes and is day 21 today and is already 19 of 40 eggs hatched. They say not to open till day 22-23 but was getting crowded and the new ones were being tramples as well as the empty shells were cupping onto the unhatched. So took the largest and left the smallest and tidied up as fast as could

So as soon as the chicken peeps are done will load up w/the toulouse eggs if no one is setting yet
cheers
