Hi all, I'm Kirstie, new to the site
I love photography, animals and all things nature, ex farm worker living in Bedfordshire UK with my hubby, we are in our 30s, no children, 6 cats, 2 dogs, 3 ducklings and a random curly haired tarantula (don't ask, she wasn't wanted, I was meant to find her a home...7 years ago
) we have decided when possible to add some ex battery girls to our mad house as I miss having hens and my heart just goes out to them, our dream is to one day have our own smallholding but for now our country bumpkin garden will do
I thought it best to introduce myself before I start asking questions as in the last 13 weeks I feel I have many to ask lol, around 3 months ago we hatched some Cayuga ducks (Ebony, Honey and Faith, though Faith has turned out to be a little boy) they are our first resident ducks, we have had silkie chickens and little button quail before.
I found BYC when our ducklings were hatching and had to help one, I read the article on intervening, it was brilliant and without it our duckling definitely wouldn't be here
I look forward to getting to know people and admiring your flocks
xx
