(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I am new to Guineas i just move to the country on a piece of land in SC! I have 6 guineas and they are kept penned up and have 2 hen houses for laying in it. I let them out to roam when I'm home and put them up at night so predators do not get them.

(3) What breeds do you have? guineas
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? i have just love being in the country and learning how to care for my birds and my new puppy and spending time with my family.
I have some questions:
my guineas lay eggs but do not keep them in the hen house i have prepared. They take them down and lay them all over the floor of the pen. they do not sit on them? How do i know if they are going to hatch or can their eggs be eaten? i have seen people selling guinea eggs on line for lots of money? I need guidance. i feed them good diet for strong eggs. any and all advise is appreciated.
