New Guinea showed up?

Very odd. We have had an "extra" guinea appear on our place! We have a hen (or two) sitting a nest right now. I saw 6 guineas out in the yard, so I thought I'd sneak over and count eggs while they were all off the nest. Uhmmmm. there's still a guinea on the nest! Went back, counted again and called to my husband, "How many guineas do we have?"
"Six".
"How many do you see?"
"Six".
"O.K., except there's one on the nest right now!"
Allrighty then. Where the heck did you come from? It's not like we are in the country where lots of folks have guineas. We are in a fairly urban area. Mysterious.

Sometimes Guineas wander really far... that bird may have heard your flock and wandered in on it's own, it may have been dumped off in your area and then found it's way in, or someone may have dumped it off at your place on purpose. Lucky for that bird that your flock accepted it!
