Hi all,
I would appreciate some help in finding the value of my incubator. I would like to sell it. Or barter. What I have is a Buckeye built in 1953. It is a setter I believe it is called and it holds 24,000 eggs. Big. This has not been put together for quite some time and I need to haul it out to get exact measurements and pictures. I believe it is somewhere around 10'x10' or 10'x12' and made from fir or redwood and a couple inches thick. It has a very pretty finish which looks like a possible redwood stain. There are 3 doors across the front and they have plated steel latches / hardware. like the reach in coolers in an old tavern. This whole unit is in very good shape and I have most all the screws, bolts, hardware, etc.
So, what I'm looking for is a rough guesstimate or if you know a true value of my incubator. What else may help is if anyone may have another way to advertise this. It is an antique and it is a piece of history from our hobby or business. Also depending where you are I could possibly deliver this to you. I am in Washington state north of Seattle but any location is a possibility for a delivery. I thank you all in advance.
I appreciate all the help and I am glad I discovered BYC. Lots of good information. Remember, this incubator is For Sale or I will Barter.
Take care,
Don
