NEW HELP chick

Been awhile since i have hatched chicks how long do you leave the chick in bator after it hatches? He is almost dry and keeps knocking the other eggs all over the bator.

Go ahead and take him out. Knocking the other eggs around may decrease their chances of hatching. Just be sure to be quick, so you don't loose temperature!

Put the new chick in the brooder, with heat, food, and water.

And enjoy the cuteness!

They can go up to three days on the yolk still being absorbed, but I don't go more than two. Opening the incubator can cause humidity issues, so I try really hard to not open it until all have hatched.

The only thing i am worried about is he is panting?

Take him out and give him a drink, I always take them out as they dry up and never have a problem with the other eggs hatching. It's better for the other eggs too so they don't get
rolled around.

When you open the bator you lose humidity.....So spritz the eggs real fast as you grab the chick...

I use a syringe with air hose attached to it so I can give them water through the holes in the top of my bator!
