New Hens Won't move----

This kinda goes with my previous post. We got the 3 new hens which aren't laying yet, probably about 4-5 months old, n put them in the coop to get them used to it. It's a small coop from TS but plenty big for just those 3 chickens. Anyway, this is their 2nd day and they are just staying in the top portion (where the nesting boxes are) and won't go down the ramp to the bottom portion (where the food/water/grass is). At least not that me or my son has seen. The food looks untouched. Should we not worry about it? Do something? What? They still look bright eyed n healthy.

Hello! My chickens do this everytime they move! They're just cautious of their new surroundings. I'd move the food/water closer to where they're staying and after they start eating it move it closer towards the grass until they get settled in. This is what I do with mine, best of luck. Also, I like to throw in some treats in the area so entice them!

No chicken has ever voluntarily starved to death. I’m guessing that they’re just scoping out the territory to make sure it’s safe to leave the coop area.
