Hello and welcome to BYC! Glad you joined.
Sorry to hear you lost your first flock so young. Do you know why they died?
How is the new flock doing? How many chickens are you allowed in your small city?

I do apologize for the late answer. Things have been very busy here and I had forgotten I signed-up for the forum, there were no alerts coming in my mailbox.

I think the first-flock was in the mail just too long. They were shipped on a MOnday and didn't get to the postoffice until Friday. One was already dead. They may have gotten pneumonia, it was terrible since there wasn't anything we could do to help them.

The new flock is doing great! They'll be six weeks on Monday. Technically for our size property we're not allowed to have any but I don't see why the would bother anyone, neighbors are far enough away.
