Hi my name is Mory, Im from Kalamazoo, MI.
I got 2 pekins (1 female, 1 unsure)= 4 months old.
3 rouens (1 drake= 4 months old: 1 drake and 1 unsure= 2-3 months old)

Past year I had 2 pekins the male was found death in a horrible way, and God knows how much I suffer finding him victim of a mean predator and the female disappear days after his death.

This year Im redeeming myself and all my ducks are fenced and my husband make coops for them.

Recently I bought two 18 month old Trout Indian runners. Which are in the vegetable garden. I love them all and my biggest wish is to have mandarin ducks!

Hope we will have fun talking about ducks!

Glad you joined the flock. If you go to "Other Backyard Poultry," above, you will find threads on ducks. I know they will be more help to you, than I would be. I'd don't know much about ducks at all.

Well at least thank you for say hi. Back in my country My family used to raise chicken, so I have been around them long enough that I decide to raise ducks instead. :)

Welcome! Ducks are great, aren't they? I have had two different flocks (khaki Campbell's and Silver Appleyards) and I loved them. I'm so sorry about your losses. We have raccoons in our area and they never give up.

I hope you will be very successful with your new flock!

Yes they are great and well behave! I like Khakis and I have to google Silver appleyards because I never heard of them, but they look a little bit like Harlequin ducks... they are pretty the male looks like a mallard or rouen drake. I actually buried my duck in the backyard, that duck will come to me so I pet him and he used to like to go with my dog across the pond swimming, that is why it hurt a lot his death, he was I weird duck. One of a kind! Thanks for your wishes, Im working harder to keep them happy!!!
