(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new again I guess you can say. It’s been 25 years since I was on a farm as a child raising all sorts of animals. About 4 days ago my husband and I purchased our new baby chicks.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We currently have 8 babies.
(3) What breeds do you have?
We have 4 ISA Browns and 4 golden Comets
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love to watch them play interact and eat. They are so relaxing to just sit and watch.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Hubby and I love to ride out motorcycles, cruise in our 77 vette, craft, and play in my makeup.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Hubby has a 30 year old son, we don’t have any children together and we won’t as cancer took that away from us. So we spoil all of our pets. We have two poodles a toy rascoe and a teacup princess who is our chicks babysitter. She will sit by the crate and watch them. Never tried to get at them and if I move the crate she barks at me. I guess the chickens are here now lol.
I am a middle school math teacher and my husband is a cop.
