I started my chicken adventures about 3 years ago. They have definitely been a grand addition to our lives. My beginner flock were 3 one year old Sex Links that eventually were quite tasty in the stew pot. I have been hooked ever since! We now have 2 Buff Orphington hens, 2 RIR hens, 1 White Rock hen and a Buff Orphington Roo. Currently 2 hens are sitting on clutches due to hatch in the next week. One has 7, the other has 12. I can't wait for the little ones. Here are 5 of my 6. (The Roo was a rescue that had severe frost bite on his comb and has since lost his spiky crown.)
