Hello all: I'm scheduled to pick up 8 baby chicks this week. They may be hatching as I type this. This is our first time with chickens. I think we have all of the initial stuff that we need, but it will be helpful to have this group as a resource when questions arise. I think our biggest challenge in the beginning will be training our dog to see the chicks as family, not snacks. Looking forward to watching the little gals grow and providing us with eggs.
