In the Brooder
Hello to everybody, first of all i want to say i'm Portuguese so my english is not the best, sorry for any mispelling. So i always loved animals, birds in particular, since i remember i had this passion, when i was 12 i moved from the city to the country and i went with my mother and bought 3 bantams(1 rooster and 2 chickens), the rooster was very young and so, soon we became best friends, i remember sitting in the sofa and watching tv with him, i watched him growing and then the chickens started having chicks, i was so excited, i had them free range by the way, well, after two years, me and my family had to move to another house without space to chickens and my mother gave all of them to a friend that had a lot of space, i remember crying like a baby for that... i visited them some times, the years passed and now i have my own litlle farm, and i decided to buy some chickens, i bought 6 bantam hens and a bantam rooster and 3 guinea fowls, i have also 2 dogs(2 females, dogo argentino's breed),2 of my hens had 5 chicks each one and other 2 are broody! Eheh! i have a great yard and all the animals free range. I have a lot of questions, a lot to learn, and i think this is the best place to do that, and also to be connected with other people with the same interests that i have( here in portugal it's hard to see people petting chickens), Well i think it's all, so soon i will post my questions, until then take care!
