New here, not new to poultry!

We had a large mixed flock years ago, mostly feather-legged, and also raised turkeys and guinea fowl. Currently have 11 supposed pullets in the brooder, Orpingtons and Wyandottes. They're 4 weeks old. It's just me and my husband as far as humans, 2 basset hounds, a redbone coonhound, cocker spaniel, bearded dragon and a sun conure. I'm a retired teacher who now drives a school bus, he works in industrial docks and doors. I enjoy quilting, we both love Cyclones hockey and Dragons baseball. I'm an Ohio State graduate, he's a Michigan fan. It gets interesting around here in the fall!

Although you're retired, it sounds like you keep plenty busy with all your critters and driving a school bus.

I really liked your "supposed pullets" phrase. One of my "supposed pullets" from last summer is now a very sassy rooster.
