Hi Zach and welcome to BYC - glad that you have joined us. I'm sure your girls are very happy in their new home.

You'll find lots of info in the Learning Centre
https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center, and if you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

You may wish to consider joining your state thread  as it will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area - https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/26/where-am-i-where-are-you

All the best

Nice to meet you Zach - welcome to Backyard chickens. If you have predators in the area especially raptors that can fly in over your fence, I would suggest you back the chicken wire, with something that can actually repel predators. The gold standard of fencing protection is 1/2" Hardware cloth, costs more, MUCH stronger, lasts longer. If securely affixed to a wooden frame It will keep most bad guys out & keep raptors from swooping in.

Chicken wire only keeps chickens inside. It does nothing to stop predators, who can slice through it like butter. You may want to check out the coops section and also the predator threads for suggestions so they do not massacre your flock.

Glad you joined us! I second the good advice from DD here, but apart from that love the coop and the occupants!

Yep, enforcing the chicken wire would be a good idea and it is still a very nice coop! And your chickens are so cute! Thanks for joining us!

Thanks everyone, yeah I was thinking about that before I built it but we was in rush getting it done we r getting more next year so going to replace with hard wire soon.
