they really are neat.
i think i'm going to have to enjoy them by "proxy" to ya - my partner had a boa for awhile and i just couldn't do the mice thing . . .
they are super cool. please keep posting updates on your chickens and your kooks!
by the way, i love it when bird people love ALL birds, not just the fancy ones but also the "lowely" 'uns like pigeons, chickens etc.
there is a woman i know who has multiple black palm cockatoos but who also rescues "throw away" chickens from the shelters . . . how cool is that right?
also, my partner and i live with a pair of golden conures which are really fantastic parrots but i also have many "underbirds" and to me they are just as valuable as the "pricey" bird species. i can tell that you feel the same!
