New here wanting to try my hand at quail

Welcome to BYC!

We're glad to have you.

I don't know much about Quail, but some members on here are quite knowledgeable. I suggest posting questions in the Quail section: Quail, as that's where the quail people tend to hang out. The member Two Crows is another helpful person to ask. She's on this forum quite often and I suspect she'll be here by the end of the day.

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

Definitely stop by our quail section for more input. I keep Bobwhites. Fun little bird to keep. If you have never kept quail before I would suggest Coturnix quail. They are a very good starter bird. And keep in mind you don't have to keep them in cages and can keep them aviary style. This is how I have always kept my quail.

Good luck on your quail adventure and welcome to our flock!

Thanks. I was thinking about the jumbo browns for meat and eggs.
Jumbo's are easy to raise. Just big Coturnix. LOL Good choice!!

If you are looking for some good quality quail, send a private message to this guy. You will not find healthier, happier and better quality quail in the US except with this hatchery.... @James Marie

I have my incubator built, thinking I need a turner though cause I work full time. Going to try to build my brooder and breeder cages this weekend. Going to try to raise them indoor.
