It's fun having chicks! Be sure to take lots of pictures, they grow and change so fast. We have Barred Plymouth Rocks in our mixed flock and I enjoy them, they are good layers and seem to get along with all the other girls.

If you haven't been to the Learning Center yet, check out the great articles there. They're very helpful. And of course, always feel free to ask questions.

Welcome to BYC! Cute Barred Rocks. I've raised Barred Rocks before. Good breed in my opinion though my favorite breed is Black Australorp. I raise Black Australorps, Fawn and White Indian Runner ducks, and a variety of peafowl (peacocks).

Thank you! I'm in the middle of getting him and the hen with him tame. So far going good. My goal is to get them as tame as my White peacock by the end of the month or sooner.
