In the Brooder
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
My sister and I would always play with baby chicks at our grandparent's house, but we didn't raise them ourselves. They were later killed for meat. Two months ago, someone I know gave us two chicks, and I've been raising them ever since.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I currently have two chickens, and they're living in my backyard in a coop.
(3) What breeds do you have?
To be honest, I'm not a chicken expert. I have no idea, they look like regular farm chicken.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love seeing how they progress and grow up, and caring for them. They really are fun to be around, and getting to say that you have chickens in your backyard is not that common around here!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love traveling, trying new things, and being outdoors.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a free range cat, that roams around, and it gets along with chickens pretty well.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
