Hi! Just introducing myself. We've raised chickens before in the backyard & after relocating we have gotten back into the game. Right now I'm on the fence about whether to get point-of-lays or chicks. I'm off to read the forums for advice.

I started with 1 rooster and 3 hens, cuckoo marans. Incubated and hatched 7 chicks of our own so far. Personal preference, I guess.

Welcome from So. Cal. We don't have too much experience with chickens, but we raised ours from chicks and just love the way they've bonded with us. I love to end the day out in the run with one chicken on my shoulder and the other in my arms
