:)Hubby has always had chickens and I wanted ducks also so I have my ducks now and I know nothing about "birds" so have been lurking and learning. Just wanted to tell everyone that I truly have enjoyed this forum and look forward to more learning and participation

.........what kind of ducks are you thinking about getting?

I already have 3 Pekins, 1 black runner duck, 2 Kaki Campbels a fawn & white runner duck and 2 Cayuga ducks. I am enjoying them tremendously and they are doing a fine job, along with their chicken friends, of keeping the weeds and grass out of one large rose garden in my yard. Other than to entertain me their only job is to weed that garden.

Well.can you tell I paid attention when I read the post

LOVE ducks, just had to downsize myself to just chickens .......I miss my Muscovies alot.......especially when it rains , nothing to watch jump around in the major puddles/lakes we have today.....

I myself am about "full up" now. BUT - some of the chickens were "packing peanuts" and when they get big enough to eat - fried, baked, boiled or barbeque. All the ducks and chickens are in about 1/4 acre in my yard but.....packing peanut roosters are too much.
