We purchased baby chicks a year ago. a friend gave us 4 Rhode Island reds. I found one of the younger hens pecking a Rhodie until she was bleeding, and her eye was damaged as well. I would like to find a new home for the Rhode island reds. They are not producing eggs, so they are use to us, but I do not want to put them to slaughter. I heard that there is a farm for retired chickens. We live in Massachusetts. Can anyone help? Please? The Rhodies are at least 20 years. Thanks!

Did you find the retirement home? She is 20 years old? Have you considered placing her in a cage in the coop? Where in Mass? I work in Southern NH.
