Hello all,
I'm Mike, I am new to caring for chickens. My Wife and I just picked up our 6 chicks from our local Agway. We purchased 2 Easter Eggers, 2 Jersey Giants, and 2 Sussex. We have wanted to get chickens for a while now, of course for the egg aspect but I am also very interested in the composting and fertilizing aspect as well. We have a 2 year old who is excited about the new "baby chickens" ,we all enjoy being outdoors, we work hybrid remote jobs, we have 2 dogs (a pit-mix and a husky)

We actually heard about BYC from a comedy podcast a while back, Decided to join so I can utilize all the shared collective knowledge on here.

Thanks
