New in Ohio

Hello there everyone ~ my name is Dawn and I live in Ohio and am new to chickens. I decided about 4 months ago to get some chicks and did all kinds of research first and now my babies are almost 2 months old. I have 10 Rhode Island Reds (2 months old) and 5 Barred Rocks (only about 3 weeks old). They are so funny and I love watching them. My daughter has one of the Barred chicks named Bella and carries her around everywhere.

We finished our coop and the older chickies are now able to go outside during the day and into the coop at night. I never saw myself as a chicken person but here I am addicted. I have tons of questions and have found so many answers here on this site. Excited to learn more and grow into a good mother hen to my girls!

Welcome! Whereabouts in Ohio? I'm in Colorado, but lived in Ohio for most of my life (Cleveland, Brecksville, Wooster areas).
It's a good area for chickens, I'm in a pine forest---not much grass

Hey again everyone! Well I'm from Elyria Ohio which is just west of Cleveland and I noticed several of you posted that you live in Ohio or have lived in Ohio. It's not so bad and even with the winters I love it in Ohio. I hope my chickie girls like it too. I have so much to learn and am excited to have this forum to fall back on for advice and knowledge.
