New Incubator Mum

Advice please! My wonderful thoughtful husband bought me an egg incubator for my birthday

I'm ready to do my reading and research as I'm brand new to incubating. Can anyone recommend a really good, trustworthy site or article on hatching duck eggs - everything you need to know from start to finish? I'm picking up another little pal for my Hazel tomorrow from Metzer and am thinking about picking up some hatching eggs too!

Oh, my, what a project!

It's not for the faint of heart, in my opinion, but apparently it can be very fulfilling.

Here's a sticky, and post 35 and the response indicate that it is for waterfowl, not just geese, but with a couple of modifications (see I think it's post 37 or 38 for the difference).

As you probably know, you're already in the right place.

Just research until you feel comfy, and then jump in and get your feet wet. You will learn a lot along the way! My first time was an "emergency" crash-course, and this time around was more planned. The crash course didn't give near the time to stress as much! Ignorance is bliss, true stuff. It's like human pregnancy, the less you know about all that can go awry, the better you feel! LOL
