Our next to last clutch of chicks are now in their teenage phase. Wanting to start mating, the new Roos of course, and starting to lay little tiny egglettes.
Not sure on breed, but these speckled hens(6) and Rooster are very tame and loving.
These 2 are small, bantams, though skittish, same age as the speckled hens but half the size. They look like little kids running in footy pajamas, so I started referring to them as the PJ’s, and Momma wasn’t accepting it, so now they are Pnut Butter and Honey. I wasn’t there when this clutch was summoned in the circle of chicken math, so can’t verify any breeds.
And the last ones , they avoided the circle and somehow wound up in my truck on the way home from work, are our RI Blues.
They picked up the flock life pretty early on, only 3+ months old and are running with the bug uns competing for food, masters of the snatch and run.
