So it became possible for me in Sept 09 to go back to work full time. My dh's company went through a merger. He and a few others, one other in his dept. Got to keep their positions, but with the added bonus of being able to work from home! so with him being home all the time I didnt have to limit my job search to moms hours. very limiting in our area. Jobs are scarce enough in general. So I got a temp job and worked that for a few months, was let go just before Christmas. but had already done all the holiday shopping etc. Had my surgery and was ok. Waited til after the New Year and began looking. Used what I had in savings to pay some bills. Got a job offer that I had to turn down(was not the perfect fit I was looking for and I didnt want to take someone elses "perfect" job. So I passed and kept looking. And
I FOUND IT!
Not a bad commute. Stable , growing company(medical insurance area/state!) Benefits!!! And decent pay! Full Time!
So we bought a 96 Ford Escort so the husband has a car to drop off and pick up the kid from school in(plus any doct appts)
And now we can get all the house improvements done. Make more than min monthly payments on the few cc bills we have. And I can easily get my new car in a few months!
