Hello to all chick lovers,
I should add that the day I ordered my baby chicks, I knew nothing about how to raise chickens. I just thought, why not?…I am only 7 months pregnant, stay at home mom, with a crazy two year old- all I have is time on my hands, RIGHT?
Well, when my husband FINALLY came home from his business trip (Spain) I not only told him I bought “some” chicks but there “short term” living arrangements would be in his man cave…how long? He asked, Oh…..about 8-10 weeks, depending on the weather ( I got the early bird special rates!) girls hatched in Feb. 2013! J
Needless to say my husband wanted chicken wings for dinner…
but here they are...so cute and happy- first week pictures!

Today at 5 weeks- They love their treat! mealworms, cottage cheese and apple slices
Working on their coop this weekend, my father is helping me- stay tooned for how that turnes out - My goal is to get the girls out of my husbands man cave before my baby is born in...... 2 weeks!
