New Kid

Hi chicken people... In the past I've been a member of horse and family BBs but this is my first foray into a chicken forum! I live in Maine on a few acres with my husband, 2 y/o daughter, two horses, dog, cat, and our remaining three Rhode Island Reds. (We had six but have suffered some losses due to the birds always wanting to run into the road.

)

I'm going to be buying some meat chicks soon and I'm not sure what to do with them as far as housing. It's too cold and they'll be too tiny to move right in with the adult layers. Guess I will move on over to the meat birds forum to find out what's the best plan.
