New KS member

Hi. I recently bought a farm in central Kansas west of Wichita and I am very excited to start living the 'farm' life. I have always loved animals and livestock and now have the ability and land to support them. I ordered 25 chicks from McMurray that should arrive next month. I have been on this site almost every nite for the last couple weeks and I am glad I finally joined. This is a great site! I am also looking for some young bantams but so far have been unable to find any. I also plan on raising some quail this summer. I look forward to learning more from this site and sharing my experiences.

I just hatched 16 quail this week-looking forward to eggs in about 6-7 weeks!

So hard to believe they go from quarter-sized balls of fluff to laying eggs in that short of time! I did have quail before, so I know how quickly they grow, but it is still fun!
