Hi Everyone,
I am excited to move to Florida very soon. I have always wanted to live in a rural setting with a few chickens (grew up with them) and maybe a couple of ducks and a few goats if I'm allowed. I love gardening and I am very happy that my hard work in the garden will not die each year when winter arrives. I would greatly appreciate any advice or leads in connection with purchasing a suitable vacant land. Looking at Ocala and going West Central. Once I have the property... then I'll need help with my chickens! Thanks.

Welcome to BYC!
I don't live there now, but I spent a few years in FL, gardening has its own challenges there. I think the best advice no matter where you go is work with a good realtor - a lot of the best places are only on the market for a few days because a realtor has someone looking for a place just like that - make sure it's you!

:welcome

Hello from a former Floridian! We moved from south FL to an area about 50 miles outside Ocala and one thing we learned about gardening is that there are challenges...bugs galore and summer heat to name a couple. But it can be done! Best of luck to you :D
