A normal egg and the other "messy" egg.
Does it look like an egg a new layer would lay? No defined yolk. It was like that when I cracked it.

I've personally never seen that before, but I'm not extremely experienced. I'm sure someone on here will be able to help you with all their chicken wisdom

No, has nothing to do with a 'new' layer, unless that new layer has a serious problem.
I have never seen an egg that messed up, either here on BYC or here at home.

Do you have birds that might have just started laying?
Do you have older birds that might be getting ready to molt?
Do you collect eggs daily?

Yes to all the above. They have been molting.
