We purchased 6 peeps for Easter for the grand kids and built the coop, etc being assured they were 98% female. Now we now that 4 are Roo's and I am not sure what to do next.
I know that is too many roos for the 2 hens, so they will be meat.
But do I start with peeps again or find 4 grown hens? If so, what do I look for in grown hens?

I am not sure how to proceed to get my eggs. Thanks in advance!

What we did when this happened to us with our first flock (5 chicks, 3 roos, 2 hens, 1 hen died, so we were left with 1 hen) we took the roos to a local feed store that also had older pullets. They took the roos and sold us 3 18-20 week old pullets for $25 each. (I wasn't set up to process the roos.)

How old are the current pullets? You might be able to get chicks the same age.

! Pleased you joined but sorry about your rooster conundrum. If it was me I'd start over with chicks from a hatchery where there is a better chance of you getting hens (I've ordered a lot of day old hen chicks and haven't gotten a rooster in the batch yet). Below is a hatchery link. Good luck to you!
