New member “Chicken and Duck Mama”

We’ve recently moved to a farm and of course had to get chickens. What started out as “we’ll just get 3” instantly became 6 when I sent my husband and daughter to get them. The next day, we got 3 more. Our flock of 9 did great with only one chick who had issues. She had pasty butt but we quickly got that under control. No problems since. All 9 of our girls,- Adele, Aretha, Celine, Cher, Dolly, Janis, Madonna, Reba & Shakira, have done fantastic and are all laying. I wanted ducks and as a surprise, my daughter and son-in-law brought me a pair. Teenage daughter decided she needed her own duck and went back to the feed and grain that same day and got a 3rd. They are not quite 5 weeks and we lost one a few days ago and now we’re scared to death about losing another.
