I have young bared rocks and wyandotte. still heated at night . So hooked I have by firsrt eggs are on the way. I purchased the ex Bresnnia because of the humidity control without opening. I have been reading here and without this group I would not be bravut e enough to try this. I am so excited. My senior bulldog had a health crisis but rallied. She is warning me she is going soon. I don't know her age as she is a pound rescue but we have had have seven great years. The chicks are so entertaining they are a great comfort. I a meeting other urban chicken keepers as I get there supplies. I just found an adapted playhouse for a coop. I love the creativity I have seen here in the coop section. I am a mostly retired family therapist considering moving so I can have roosters. I have it bad. For years I have wanted to have the girls but Newcastle had us in quarenteen. now that is lifted. any ideas how to get less than 1000 marks vaccines. are people using pox vaccines. I need to decide on that soon. I am very grateful this is here. The girls already help with gardening. no more slugs . I am building tunnels and tractors in hopes they help with fig

Hello, MaryAlice, and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
I've never seen Marek's vaccine offered in less than 1000 dose vials. I've ordered 2 batches of chickens from a hatchery that were vaccinated against Marek's but all the new additions have been hatched out of my flock. I just try to minimize wild birds getting into their space too much by no longer feeding wild birds (which I do miss!) and I don't allow people who own chickens to come into my flocks territory.
