Hey everyone! I have been a lurker on the site for a while but I figured I would make an introduction post. I have a lifelong relationship with chickens but have only owned some as an adult for the last few years. I have had a few learning curves. Lost some to dogs, lost some to coccidiosis and pox, and lost one rooster on purpose because of excessive aggression. I have since found some local community connections for veterinary needs and rehoming accidents and misfits. We have a few misfits ourselves. I currently have 5 adult hens and I have added a lot of new birds to our flock this year. Hatching for the first time too with a hatch date of tomorrow and another batch waiting to go in! I think someday I might choose a breed to show and improve lines, but first I am just trying to find what I like, and get a lot of gorgeous eggs in the process.
