Hello. My name is Logan and I am new to this urban chicken raising community. We have consulted this website many times for tips on raising chicks and coop construction ideas. My family and I recently purchased seven baby chicks (in the spring). We have enjoyed raising them so much and it has been such a great experience for our children in particular. Well, it's been four months now and due to the loud crowing in the morning, we have realized that one of them is a rooster. We live in the city and are close to our neighbors and having a rooster will not work. But we have raised him since he was a 2 day old chick. We are trying to find a way to get a home for him. I have tried calling the various 4-H programs around Northeast Ohio but am not having any luck in terms of a placement. What have other people done when trying to find a home for a rooster? We're kind of stuck but need a good home for the guy. Thank you in advance. ~ Logan

So glad you could join our community! Sumi has left you with the link to our Rehoming Animals section. You might also check your state thread and chat with your chickens neighbors. Maybe someone nearby will take your precious boy. Scroll thru this link and look for your state thread...
